Man at War – Excerpt No. 288

Shortly after hostilities broke out, intelligence reports revealed that the German side allied themselves with agents of Drusilla and were using vampires openly. Their side, who purposefully sought to keep their existence from the public, had to pivot. It doesn’t help that they are mostly pacifists.

Marc was the sole exception, someone willing to lead a counter offensive. As a man of war, Marc was no stranger to conflict, but he preferred to work with humans instead of other vampires.

Black and white dramatic image of four men dressed as classic vampires — wearing dark suits, ties, and flowing capes with high collars — running directly toward the viewer across a smoky, war-torn battlefield at night. Their faces show intense, open-mouthed expressions as they charge forward. Explosions and bright flames illuminate the dark background, with silhouetted figures visible in the distance. The photo has a vintage aged white border.
