“An ideal spot for an ambush,” Murphy whispered.
Marc simply nodded, watching as two teams broke off from their detachment. The others took up positions at the four corners of the church. The advance team, with Morin, were no longer in sight.
From the west, at the edge of town, he made out two humanoid shapes approaching Duff. They were fast and quiet, and a real threat unlike the ghouls within that crypt. Marc snapped his fingers and pointed at the advancing enemy. Those distinctive spiked helmets make it easy to tell friends from foe.
Murphy made the sign for two and Marc nodded. The man of war then peeked over both sides of the balcony.
