Once satisfied, she opened the doors and hopped out of the driver’s seat. Grace was not wearing a rebreather or mask, nor did she need one. Breathing is for the living.
She grabbed her school bag, and headed off towards the sports car. The terrain was soft, but her patent leather ankle boots had no trouble traversing the terrain.
As a precaution she kept her pistol trained until she confirmed the driver was still hanging upside down with his head pinned against the roof. Had she been human she may have called it mission accomplished and walked away.
