He didn’t hesitate, squeezing off their rounds aimed right at the first one’s legs. Two struck the knees and thighs sending the target straight to the ground.

He fired at the other as he turned to response. This time, he hit both knees and the thighs. With the situation in his favour, he got up and darted across the aisle, and began to approach from the other end.

ALT: A man in a long dark overcoat, white shirt, and black tie stands in the centre of a wet concrete corridor, pistol held at his side, looking down with a controlled expression. In the foreground, a tactical operator lies on his back clutching a badly wounded thigh, blood pooled around the leg, a rifle on the floor beside him. Further right, a second operator in grey tactical gear is on his hands and knees, crawling, with a bloody wound to the leg and a dropped rifle nearby. Steam hangs in the hallway. The walls are scarred concrete; a door is visible at the far end. The image is a square photograph with an aged cream border.
