“Dammit,” Clara swore.

It had been two weeks since she returned from The Grand, but still could not think of something to say to Elizabeth. Every day a blank conversation stared at her, forever taunting her. 

Evelyn had been overjoyed to see Clara again. Especially when she materialised right into the living room. Marc showed more concern, inherently distrustful of anyone that a good fence or door could not keep at bay.
