Evelyn managed a weak smile and sniffled to further clear out her nose. Before she could move away a fresh wave of anguish washed over her.
She fell into Grace’s arms and wept. By this point even the younger vampire had lost her composure.
“Grace,” Evelyn said after a solid five minutes of crying. “I want to honour her request.”
“I know,” Grace said.
“I-I’m also starting to hate this place.”
At that moment, Grace had to admit she felt the same way.
