Man at War – Excerpt No. 109

“According to the staff this one is apparently especially for her cruelty,” Grace added.

Evelyn cocked a brow as that was hard to believe. Drusilla made Evelyn’s crime scene appear amateurish… how sadistic does she have to be to be noticed by Drusilla?

“Did you get a name?”

“No,” Grace said. “Simply that she had steel-grey eyes and a cruel smile.”

That was not much to go on. So, there must be more to these rumours.

“They said the woman left abruptly after hearing that her sister was somewhere in France.”

a cinematic photo of a female vampire with steel-grey eyes and a cruel smile is creeping away from a particularly bloody murder scene at night in 1915 Canada, wearing a long dark coat with a wide-brimmed hat, her pale skin illuminated by the faint glow of a streetlamp, with a subtle sheen to her fangs, set against a backdrop of old brick buildings and fog-shrouded alleys, with a mixture of gas lamps and early electric streetlights, in a photography style reminiscent of the early 20th century, with deep shadows and high contrast, capturing the eerie and haunting atmosphere of a bygone era.
