That was a trait found in Murphy and Marc was thrilled his second fostered that within his men. Now the team of twenty was travelling over ground, their silhouettes near impossible to see as they travelled using the natural cover. As a vampire he saw their outlines perfectly, what he lacked were the details, but he knew the men well enough to identify them.

They were a mile out from their objective, the ruins of a small redoubt, or more precisely earth fortifications with a small complement of buildings above and below ground. A place used to store munitions for cannons designed to fight in a war long forgotten.

a cinematic photograph of British armed soldiers with determined expressions, dressed in muddy khaki uniforms and wearing worn leather boots, creeping cautiously across the dark, moonlit terrain towards a worn, abandoned redoubt with crumbling stone walls and overgrown with weeds, set against a somber, cloudy night sky, with the soldiers' Lee-Enfield rifles at the ready, and their faces illuminated only by the faint moonlight, capturing the tense atmosphere of a World War I battlefield in 1915, shot in a gritty, high-contrast style with deep shadows and muted earth tones.
