Man at War – Excerpt No. 199

Marc took the bag and looked inside. It was clearly the head of a woman. The long brown hair, soft skin, and lips all made that clear. However there were several scars visible, including a particularly vicious one along the neck that had yet to heal. That must be from her attempt to dislodge the flare.

“So the rumours were true,” Marc said. “I was told that werewolves revert to their human form after sunrise… even after death.”

That meant there was the naked and headless body of a woman to deal with. That would raise a lot of questions if found by the wrong people. Fortunately he had a way to deal with this.

a surreal and vibrant cinematic photo of a woman's head in a bloody burlap sack, her skin is heavily scarred with deep gashes and lacerations, clothing and style are reminiscent of 1915, with tattered and worn fabrics, set against the desolate backdrop of No Man's Land at night, under a dark and foreboding sky, with remnants of war and destruction scattered throughout, surreal photography, photorealistic, film grain, with muted colors and an eerie glow, the woman's facial features are distorted in a mixture of pain and despair, her skin pale and clammy, with a few strands of hair peeking out from under the burlap sack, the overall atmosphere is one of eerie silence and haunting intensity.
