That meant there was the naked and headless body of a woman to deal with. That would raise a lot of questions if found by the wrong people. Fortunately he had a way to deal with this.

“How’s that even possible?” Lewis asked before realising his lapse and added, “Sir?”

“How am I possible?” Marc asked. “After a while you accept that not everything can be explained by reason or science.”

There was a slow but noticeable sign of understanding in the Private’s eyes. It was like running through a movie reel by hand, but at least that ensured his orders were followed.

“Warrant,” Marc said. “Ensure that Private Monaghan does not speak about this to anyone. I trust that Private Lewis already understands this?”
