Marc caught several men sigh. While they would endure because it was expected of them, the fact Marc considered their needs ensured they continued to do so.

“Thank you, Sir,” Murphy said.

This might have been Murphy’s goal all along. Marc made a note to remind the Warrant that he did not need to breathe and would not necessarily realise the air was stale. I think they tend to forget

“Anything else,” Marc asked?

“Nothing for the moment.”

With that, Marc turned around and took measured steps back to the surface.
