Man at War – Excerpt No. 291

Twelve vampires with carabines walked out of the shadows, each from one of the darkened rooms. Unsurprisingly they all wore the blue French uniforms like Aelred did. This meant that Marc stuck out like a sore thumb.

Another Colonel appeared a second later with his pistol trained on the man of war. Marc was rather surprised that they were treating him as a security risk.

“You really think I’m an agent for Drusilla?”
