It seemed that Evelyn also learned where the girl was from. Their initial guess was not too far off, a small farming community further east of here.
The difference was that she eloped and they were headed to a nearby mining town. The couple ended up in a small-town hotel, low on coin, but they still managed to get a room for the night. They couldn’t believe their luck until they woke up bound and gagged.
The rest of the story was more chaotic, likely brought on by a mix of mental anguish and blood programming. All the girl remembered was steel-grey eyes and a passionate kiss.
