“One question,” this was the first time that Lever said anything.

“Go ahead,” Marc said.

“When do we start?”

The rank and file collectively smiled. Before the Great War began, these men would have been put down. Soon they would learn to channel their darker impulses to avoid the gallows. I hope discipline and a common cause will keep them in line after the war.
