a cinematic photo of a British colonel with a stern expression, wearing a intricately detailed World War I uniform, complete with brass buttons, epaulets, and a peaked cap, accepting a worn leather letter from a swirling demonic portal that appears to be emitting a faint eerie glow, with the colonel's facial features etched in concern and the portal's dark tendrils curling around the letter's edge, set against a backdrop of a war-torn battlefield at dusk, with muted earthy colors and deep shadows, in a dramatic and ominous photography style.
