“I want to apply strategy and modern weaponry to eliminate the threat,” Marc began. “When we leap forward you clear what was left behind, or overwhelm sites that serve as a refuge for ghouls.”
“Ghouls, Sir?”
“That vile creature with glowing eyes you dispatched.”
The reaction in Murphy’s face was readily apparent as the mention of it was enough to send him back to that battlefield. Marc observed the man fighting against a shiver running down his spine.
