“Reload—(ing),” Private Willis said before being silenced.

The vampire moved like a blur and tore out a chunk of the Private’s neck. Before anyone else could react he had latched on to feed from the blood spurts.

FourFive

a cinematic photograph of a British sergeant with a stern facial expression and worn, muddy uniform, firing his shotgun in rapid succession amidst the chaos of a nighttime Great War battlefield, with a mix of earthy tones and dark shadows, the sergeant's face illuminated by the muzzle flash, his skin weathered and dirty, with a strong jawline and determined eyes, wearing a classic Brodie helmet and carrying a standard issue shotgun, the scene framed by the darkness of the night, with subtle hints of destroyed buildings and trenches in the background, the overall mood ominous and intense, with a shallow depth of field to emphasize the sergeant's actions, captured in a gritty, high-contrast photography style.
