The Lady in White – Excerpt No. 6

“Don’t let your imagination run wild,” Julia whispered, despite a growing sense of dread that made it difficult to breathe. “Calm down.”

Words without conviction held no sway over her. Nevertheless, she pushed onwards. Fear was taunting her, but Julia needed to know what was going on. To focus, Julia recited a prayer for a meagre amount of comfort.
