The Lady in White – Excerpt No. 9

Words without conviction held no sway over her. Nevertheless, she pushed onwards. Fear was taunting her, but Julia needed to know what was going on. So, she recited a prayer for a meagre amount of comfort. At least it would take her mind off the memories of her childhood monsters.
