The Spy Who Loved Me – Excerpt No. 15

A set of headlights appeared from the opposing side. The girl accelerated and cut in front of him with less than a meter of clearance. As he watched those tail lights glow, a semi-tractor trailer passed by with its horn pressed down. It reminded him of the fog horn rolling in over the bay from a lighthouse. 

Before he knew it she was right back beside him, and did a rolling symbol with her free hand. Jimmy was confused initially, but clued in once her window lowered.

A white minivan leads a sleek black sports car on a foggy night highway, while a semi-tractor trailer passes in the opposing lane, all vehicles’ headlights cutting through thick rusty-orange fog.
