The Van Helsing Conjecture – Excerpt No. 290

“Uh,” the man said, denoting a rather inauspicious start. “What?”

This man might have been older than Adam, but he clearly lacked field experience. Some hunters froze their first time thrust into the breach, but that was either resolved by death or by surviving the experience.

Clara let her black wings unfurl to their full size. She spotted several instances of her wings shadow, and they even darkened the face of the lead men.

There was a collective gasp, which confirmed how inexperienced this group was. I don’t think they’ve ever been outside The Tower.

“See these?” Clara asked. “What creature has wings?”

Brunette with large black feathered wings, is pointing out a wing and asking who else other than an angel would have them. Located in a large expansive marble hall and is surrounded by hooded figures.
