The Van Helsing Impetus – Excerpt No. 130

Bastet launched herself onto the end of a couch.

Bang!

“Horse—” Clara swore.

Bang!

“Feathers!” Clara finished.

Bastet was now perched on the armrest nearest to Clara. There were two bullet holes aft of her. Pieces of the stuffing were wafting merrily through the air.

BangBang!

The Goddess was balanced perfectly atop a chair. Clara had to admit that bit was impressive. Still, Bastet was almost within claw range. Clara clenched her jaw, and this time meant business.
