The Van Helsing Impetus – Excerpt No. 177

“There you are!” Evelyn said.

“I wasn’t hiding,” Clara replied. “It’s rather foolish to hide in your bedroom.”

“You mean our—” Evelyn said.

Those piercing green eyes settled on the backpack leaning against their bed. Clara was also dressed for an outing, including a leather Jacket designed to accommodate her wings, which were already out.
