The Van Helsing Impetus – Excerpt No. 30

“What am I looking at?” Clara repeated to break the monotony.

This place must have served as farmland, and rivers back in the day were invaluable. To her left, she spotted the remains of a grain silo. In spite of having been abandoned for years, it stood tall and would for the foreseeable future. Just ahead, nearly swallowed by the woods, she spotted a small hill. Except that the top was unnaturally flat. There was something there at one point.
