“You’d think that meeting at a popular park would be just as effective,” Clara mused.

Unless the individual knew a hell of a lot more about what was going on than Clara suspected. These types of precautions were an old friend of hers during the Great War.

She circled the hill and went down nearer to the water. The water was cool, and she momentarily considered kicking off her shoes and getting out of the oppressive afternoon sun.
