She was impressed, although one thing was missing from this place. There were no cots, rations or general supplies, which made sense when dealing with a vampire’s cache. Why store items that have no effect on their survival.

“Not exactly the Ritz,” Clara said.

Of course she had several hours to wait until someone showed up. So, Clara would need to wait and push aside things like thirst and hunger for now. If no one showed in the next twenty-four hours, then Clara would assume something had gone wrong and disappear.
