The Van Helsing Impetus – Excerpt No. 38

From her backpack, she pulled out a set of earbuds and a charger. Near the door panel and ladder there was an outlet, so she plugged in her phone, and tapped on a music app.

She was disappointed that there was not a Roaring Twenties channel, nor one for the thirties. However, there was one for the forties, and that was a bridge closer than a more modern fair. She selected the channel and tapped on play with both earbuds in. I bet you no one from my time would have expected music from something like this.

While risky, the volume was low enough to hear the door or hatch open. The music took her mind off her surroundings, and the cold of the concrete floor and wall she leaned up against.
