The Van Helsing Impetus – Excerpt No. 6

These were taken from a nearby island. Their diminutive size made them ideal for this environment.

Clara imagined how an animal born free was captured and taken aboard a boat to this isle. From there they were forced down a tunnel and put to work, ever surrounded by coal and shadow.

“They never saw the light of day again,” Clara whispered.
