The Witching Hour – Excerpt No. 7

“Wait—” Julia croaked and regretted her attempt.

As the mind reconnected with her senses, Julia realised that she was not entirely on the slab. She was bent over it, with her knees spread apart on the concrete. She further realised that her legs, stomach and chest were cold. Where are my clothes?

To warm up, Julia attempted to back away, but was held in place. She imagined it to be iron bands attached to chains, but the sound disagreed with that image.
