Man of War – Excerpt No. 157

Marc awoke in a start with no idea of where he was. That in itself was unusual, because he normally awoke clear headed and ready to fight. However, his eyes were heavy, and his thoughts were muddled.

He forced his eyes open, revealing a head of curly golden hair. When he tied in the sounds of deep breathing, and the warmth of her body, memories from the night before returned to the forefront of his mind.
