Man of War – Excerpt No. 170

“Why would it come here?” Émilie asked.

“This strip of land has been a part of Spain longer than in our hands.”

“How do you know?” Émilie asked.

She was engrossed with the flower arrangement on the table. Given the importance of the day, these blooming branches were a fitting addition.

“The townspeople use the Spanish pronunciation and spelling for the town’s name,” Marc replied

Plump blonde wearing a slip making a wreath out of branches filled with white blossoms. Located in a simple bedroom. Clothing and setting appropriate for 16th century France.
