Man of War – Excerpt No. 187

“I should get dressed…”

Émilie surprised him by springing up from the bed.

“I’ll help,” Émilie said.

“I can manage?”

“Oh. I know. I just wanted to ease your troubles this morning.”

She went to the table, covered in those little sticky flowers and grabbed his shirt. When she faced him, he noticed the hairs were matted on her patch.

Picture a blonde wearing a slip with curly hair and round cheeks. She is picking up a folded shirt from a table. Table is covered in little flower petals. Located a simple bedroom. Clothes and scene appropriate to the 16th Century France.
