Man of War – Excerpt No. 311

After getting her dressed, it was time to help Susanna with the wig, which was easier than expected. Susanna did most of the work herself, but she needed him to make sure there were no stray hairs visible.

The next step would have been to paint her face. That was a step he had never seen before, let alone assist someone with. However, this was to be a masquerade party, which negated the need.

Marc made his way to the trunk that contained an assortment of masks. These would conceal her full face, every one featuring a predator with decidedly feline elements.
