Man of War – Excerpt No. 58

The sound was enough for a small part of Marc’s mind to register his opportunity. With a powerful punch his father’s head snapped towards the doctor, and he fell backwards like a felled tree. Marc followed the crash, before those glassy eyes burning with rage focused on the doctor.

Incensed, Marc screamed as though he were a Viking charging into battle. The doctor froze, unable to stop the tempest from barrelling down on him. With one quick motion, the doctor was shoved aside, leaving enough room for Marc to enter. 

Before the doctor knew what happened, the door was slammed shut and barred from the inside.
