The Van Helsing Conjecture – Excerpt No. 109

“I guess I want a better understanding of what I’m dealing with,” Clara said.

“Ethereal is a poison pill,” Evelyn commented. “There’s wisdom in those words, but the delivery…”

“…is lacking?” Clara replied. “That’s brought about several long spats between the sisters.”

“Wait?” Evelyn said. “Can they hear us?”

“I can’t shut them out entirely. They did make a point of telling me they would give us some time alone. Hecate appeared to be grateful for the opportunity to interact with the world.”

“We should all go for a night on the town!” Evelyn said. “Get a limousine, and hit a club or three.”

A dramatic, high-contrast cinematic photograph of five Greek and Egyptian goddesses, each with distinct facial features and skin tones, gathered around a sleek, black stretch limousine, its door open and interior lights aglow, as they prepare for a glamorous night out on the town, with Athena's piercing blue eyes and golden armor standing out alongside Isis's dark, curly hair and ornate headdress, while Aphrodite's bright, fiery locks and Hermia's soft, porcelain skin catch the light, and Nephthys's mysterious, raven-haired silhouette lingers in the shadows, as the city lights of the urban skyline twinkle in the background, bathing the scene in a warm, golden glow, with rich, vibrant colors and subtle lens flares adding to the sense of luxury and sophistication.
