A vampire’s concept of fun tended to differ from her own views. While comfortable with Evelyn feeding from willing hosts, allowing a vampire to let loose meant bodies and drawing unnecessary attention.

“Okay,” Clara said. “Only if they deserve it.”
Evelyn giggled and pecked Clara on the lips, “Bien sûre!” (Of course)
