“Fine…” Clara said. “Evelyn is a sultry vampire who knows how to get me off every time.”

At least this version gave her words a flair for the fantastical which might keep him talking.

It was said that the eyes were the windows to the soul and he proved telling. Quick as a flash, Clara caught a mix of confusion and surprise reflected in those irises. However, Jack broke into a laugh once more, which pushed out any remaining emotions from his eyes.
