It always astonished her how the poorest members of a community poured so much of their time and income into their faith. Those from the Protestant church tended to look down on the Catholic parishioners… those who would give you the shirts off their back

Near the crucifix, Clara spotted a familiar symbol. It was a double helix, indicating there was a hunter cache in the premises. That doesn’t make sense

“…why have one in such a small centre?”
