The Van Helsing Conjecture – Excerpt No. 23

“Thank you,” Clara said. “You’re the bee’s knees tonight…”

“We are all in this together…”

That statement reflected the fact that the gods Clara killed were absorbed. For the moment Hecate and Bastet were her guests, but Artemis would soon make an appearance… —Hecate is looking forward to this reunion…

“Still up for setting Heaven aflame?”

“I—We wouldn’t miss it for the world…”

The more Clara cleaned about Heaven the more convinced she became that destroying it and the gods was her best option. It was not the paradise it was made out to be, and angels were at best the unwitting jailers of souls.

Dark vision of Heaven aflame, it's buildings and ramparts turned to rubble. Fallen angels are found throughout, mortally wounded and dying. Human souls are bound and chained, being marched in a line outside the pearly gates.
