The Van Helsing Conjecture – Excerpt No. 242

Evelyn looked up from her victim who left the world with a smile on his face. In a single feeding she  regained her youthful appearance and was utterly refreshed… Ready to take on an army

Quoi?” Evelyn asked. (What?)

“Nothing…” the others said in unison.

“I haven’t fed in weeks,” Evelyn said with a grin.

“Remarkable restraint,” Clara said.

A dramatic, high-contrast cinematic photograph of a hauntingly beautiful vampire woman with long, dark black hair cascading down her back, piercing green eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity, and wearing a tattered, black, velvet evening gown, torn and stained with crimson bloodstains. Her porcelain-like skin is smeared with blood, with trickles running down her cheeks and chin, and her slender hands are also coated in a viscous, crimson film. She's positioned on the floor of a decrepit, once-luxurious hotel room, the surroundings a stark contrast to her dark beauty, with peeling wallpaper, shattered mirrors, and a faded, ornate carpet. The atmosphere is heavy with foreboding, the only light source a faint, flickering glow emanating from a lone, candelabra in the distance, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Her enigmatic smile seems to suggest a dark secrets and forbidden knowledge, as if she's privy to some ancient, macabre truth.
