The Van Helsing Conjecture – Excerpt No. 26

Silver could not exist for long independent of Clara and they both knew it. Tactically she understood why, because teleportation would disrupt Clara’s focus and put them all at risk. Whereas Silver was like a spring under tension, it was only a matter of time before she snapped back into the whole.

“That’s why you’re my favourite…” Clara said with a wink.

There came the sound of dry heaving from the depths of her mind, and she even caught someone doing a Bronx cheer. Silver must have been aware of their reactions and laughed.

“I needed this,” Clara whispered.

Without another word, Clara grabbed her backpack,  focused on their campsite, and vanished entirely from sight.

A group of enraged greek and egyptian goddesses booing and hissing, visibly showing their disgust, while looking up. Located within a large and expansive hall done up as a Roman temple, with two large round windows, showing a view of a winter forest at night.
