The Van Helsing Conjecture – Excerpt No. 34

Clara was not sure how she felt about being with a vampire, let alone one that mastered hiding her emotions behind an impenetrable mask. To be fair, Clara did the same, which made daily interactions interesting. Neither knew what the other really felt, but during those brief glimpses Clara sensed Evelyn loved her.

She told you so!” Ethereal said to dampen the mood.

Words are used to mask lies,” Clara replied in her mind.

Shut up,” Silver said to her sister. “I’ve seen how she looks at you. She’s different around you.”

You think so?” Clara asked herself.

Her heart skipped a beat at the thought of capturing the heart of another. The fact this berry was more fun than a night at a clip joint certainly helped. She’s the only one that seems to understand me

It’s obvious,” Sparky said, the third persona for Hecate.

A surreal and vibrant cinematic photograph of a woman reclining in a lavish, dark ornate bedroom, adorned with intricate patterns and heavy drapery, her large, feathery back wings spread wide to conceal her body, as if shielding herself from the outside world. Three pixie-sized Greek goddesses, with delicate features, porcelain-like skin, and hair styled in loose, flowing locks, hover around her head, their iridescent wings glimmering with a soft, ethereal light. The woman's facial expression is serene, her eyes closed as if in deep contemplation, her lips parted slightly, as if whispering a secret to the goddesses. The atmosphere is dreamlike, with a warm, golden glow permeating the scene, and subtle film grain adding texture to the image, evoking the feel of a mystical, otherworldly realm.
