“Oui,” Evelyn replied before changing back to English. “She was positively scrumptious.”

That was the key detail that did not fit the puzzle before her. Evelyn could stretch out her feedings longer than any other vampire, which made cohabitation easier… —the fact she leaves them alive helps too…

“Do you want some company?” Evelyn asked, those emerald green eyes twinkling.

Clara smirked, but was reminded that she was up for a singular reason. —We ran out of hot water last time…

“I can’t think of a better way to start the day.” Before Evelyn could break into a smile, Clara added, “I have to be somewhere in an hour.”
