The man took a .445 calibre round straight in the chest, which caused him to stumble. With the man dangerously exposed, Marc freed his first opponent of their head with a slash.
There was a rapid succession of steps from behind. Marc leveraged his momentum to roll on the ground, moving out of the way just in time to miss the bayonet charge. However, the vampire was no longer there, moving as though a blur.
His opponent failed to account that Marc was also a vampire. As such he would be able to track and predict the movements accordingly. The trouble was that the man of war wished to avoid expending more blood if necessary.
